Employer Job Title: Warranty Administrator
POSITION SUMMARY: Manually organizes, prepares, records, follows-up and reconciles all warranty claims.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Insures that all warranty repairs and other work is performed accurately and within the established time frame to comply with manufacturer requirements and dealership standards.
- Advises management regularly of any claims which are unusual, aging or require intervention.
- Verifies accuracy of claim and criteria required by factory or distributor.
- Insures credits and all claims information is posted accurately and in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Verbal communication ability to clearly communicate in person and by telephone with co-workers and manufacturer regarding the claim.
- Daily attendance that is consistent, regular and timely.
- English reading and math skills sufficient to read all documents and manufacturers information (approximately the 10th grade level).
- Regularly and accurately use a 10-key adding machine by touch. Repeated, regular and accurate input of information to the computer.
- Mentally recalls, tracks and accurately recounts work in progress; the ability to accurately apply pertinent dealership and manufacturer information.
- Completes required forms, documents and reports as needed.
- Cooperative and courteous manner with customers, co-workers and management personnel.
- Accurately compares, reads and records identification numbers up to 18 alphanumeric series (i.e., Vehicle Identification Number, part numbers).
- Works extended hours (potentially 10hour days), spur of the moment overtime AND consecutive work days on aregular and irregular basis.
- Works with more than one person and/or task simultaneously, maintaining a cordial and friendly manner at all times without internalizing frustration, anger or pressure.
- Ability to maintain good employee relations by acting courteously and amicably towards other co-workers.
