We are on the lookout for a meticulous and dedicated Sr. Accountant to join our client's team in Tucson, Arizona. Your role will involve managing the general ledger system, preparing and recording journal entries, assisting in the preparation of financial statements, reconciling accounts, and providing support during audits. This role is in the non-profit industry and offers an exciting opportunity for career growth and development.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the general ledger system to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial information

• Prepare and record journal entries in a timely manner, in compliance with accounting principles and company policies

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly

• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes as needed

• Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing audit schedules and gathering necessary documentation

• Address auditor inquiries in a timely and professional manner

• Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making purposes

• Utilize your skills in 'General Ledger' to ensure effective handling of financial data.

Requirements

• Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or related field

• Proficiency in General Ledger Management

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously

• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees

• Superior attention to detail

• Knowledge of applicable laws, codes, and regulations

• Experience with accounting software and databases
