Community Health Systems Scheduling Clerk - Surgery in Tucson, Arizona

This Surgery Scheduler is full time days working for Northwest Medical Center Houghton supporting our Cardiology/Pulmonology Clinic!

Summary:

Responsible for the scheduling of procedures for Surgery, GI Lab, Cath Lab, and appointments for Preprocedural Screening/Preadmission Testing.

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements

Education:

Required: High School diploma/GED or equivalent experience

Experience:

Required: One (1) year surgical scheduling experience or two (2) years in scheduling role in physician office

Preferred: Surgical scheduling experience

Skills:

Appropriate prioritization and planning skills, while achieving safety and quality in a high volume environment; Engaging and effective communication and service skills; Adherence to policy and procedures; Process improvement oriented; Self-initiative to assist with whatever is needed. Medical Terminology and Anatomy preferred.
