The Material Program Manager (MPM) role, within RTX, requires the individual have strong leadership skills with demonstrated project management experience. The MPM is accountable to overall supplier management, performance and success. As the interface between Supply Chain, the Program Office/Integrated Product Team (IPT), supplier, and other functions working on both development and production contracts; this role is responsible for developing and executing supply chain strategies and ensuring organizational and program objectives are achieved.

Key responsibilities include supplier material management, material forecasting, ensuring cost and schedule requirements are met, creating metrics to monitor GSCM health, supplier assessments, and future proposal activities.

What You Will Do

• Drive processes to successful completion in support of a very aggressive schedule of deliveries

• Oversight of GSC proposal execution performance and reporting

• MRP support and production alignment in support of Operations execution

• Use critical thinking skills to propose sound and innovative business solutions to increase operational efficiencies to insure business area and program success.

• Must have the capability to manage multiple conflicting priorities

• Process information from multiple sources to achieve a successful outcome

• Have the passion and desire for continuous learning

• Identify/Generate material R&Os in alignment with program execution

Qualifications You Must Have

• Experience in Earned Value Management, Estimates and Complete, CAM knowledge

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 6 years’ experience.

• Experience managing suppliers or projects.

• Experience in desktop computing tools (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project)

• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience working in the defense industry within the supply chain function

• Experience purchasing assemblies for military applications

• Experience using manufacturing or enterprise planning tools, including MRP (Kinaxis/ SAP/PRISM)

This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
