Description We are offering a unique opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Tucson, Arizona. This role entails handling day-to-day accounting tasks in our team, focusing on bank reconciliations and the processing of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). This is a short-term contract position that will allow you to utilize your skills in QuickBooks Online and MS Excel within the financial industry.

Responsibilities:

• Handle daily accounting tasks to ensure accurate financial records

• Conduct bank reconciliations to verify the company's financial transactions

• Process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to maintain up-to-date transaction records

• Prepare and record journal entries in the general ledger

• Utilize QuickBooks Online for accounting tasks and reporting

• Use MS Excel for data analysis and financial reporting

• Participate in the month-end close process to finalize financial records

• Utilize various accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP to streamline accounting processes

• Maintain accurate customer credit records

• Take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments. Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of experience in Accounting

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management

• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Familiarity with General Ledger maintenance and Journal Entries posting

• Competency in using QuickBooks Online

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

• BA/BS or AA/AS degree in accounting or related field is preferred.
