As an enterprise business architect at Raytheon, you will provide strategic architecture leadership on business transformation activities. You will partner with product managers and contribute to strategic planning, and process change decisions, and optimized execution.

You will use formal architecture and strategy methods and practices, such as TOGAF, to depict business strategy, problems, needs and structure before solution architecture and design occurs. • Determine business change impact and gaps by mapping business architecture domains like capability, value streams, information concepts and organization within a business scenario

  • Cross map business architecture domain elements (like capabilities and organizations) to related business domains like applications and processes to characterize baseline and target business architecture states and understand how business capabilities are instantiated

  • Align Digital initiatives to business strategy by shaping Digital investment to focus on technology and process that instantiates critical strategic business capability

  • Advocate for business and enterprise architecture by building key influence relationships and socializing business architecture views of Raytheon.

  • Identify opportunities to demonstrate incremental business architecture value quickly

  • Work with product managers to define Digital product architectures

  • Build and maintain foundational business architecture views that constitute the business architecture knowledgebase

  • Develop architecture artifacts associated with phases A and B of the TOGAF Architecture Development Method, as well as help train architects who are more focused on later phases on the minimal mapping they need for business understanding

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires bachelor’s degree and minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience or a master’s degree and minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or in lieu of a bachelor’s degree minimum 14 years of prior relevant experience or associate degree and minimum 12 years of relevant experience is required.

  • Experience architecting and planning large business transformation initiatives.

  • Experience creating business and organization level strategy.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
