About the Position:
The Associate Director (Dreamcatcher) is responsible for assisting the Director in the day-to-day business operations and supervising the daycare center for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. The Assistant Director supervises each staff member, including anyone in the presence of an enrolled child, and the ability to intervene to prevent harm to them.

Annual Salary: $45,000
Location: Tucson, AZ.
What You Will Do:
Welcomes potential families and conducts a tour of Dream Catcher Learning Center helping to promote values, culture, inclusion, trust and goals.
Reports any issues related to staff, clients, health and safety to the Director.
Works alongside the Director overseeing the center's day-to-day operations, ensuring staff follow all licensing and company policies.
Maintains files for employees at the center, monitors and observes staff performances and appearance.
May have responsibilities related to staff management.
Supports and confirms that all classrooms have a weekly lesson plan and classroom sign in/out sheet and food program sheets, checks that classroom ratios are accurate.
Provides backup in the classroom as necessary (breaks, staff needs).
Promotes a fun, engaging, productive, and Safe learning environments fun, engaging, productive and Safe learning environment.
Assists with maintaining all child and employee files, keeping them up to health and safety licensing standards, assists The Assistant Director supports all staff and families positively and professionally.
Other duties as assigned.
What You Will Bring:
Required:
Must be 21 years of age PLUS one of the following.
High School Diploma or GED with 30 hours of ECE (Early Childhood Education) training and 12 months’ experience. OR
Associate's degree in ECE*/closely related field and 6 months experience. OR
Total of 24 credits with 6 credits in ECE*and 12 months experience. OR
NAC/CDA/CCP/CPS And 12 months experience.
High School Diploma or GED with 3 college credits in ECE*& 12 months experience. OR
Bachelor's degree in ECE* /closely related field and 3 months experience.
Preferred:
Knowledge and experience with the basic principles of child development; Spanish-speaking.
Certifications or Licenses:
Fingerprint Clearance Card.
CPR/ FIRST AID.
Proof of TB screening.
Skills/Abilities:
Experience as a Childcare Teacher or Excellent knowledge of child development and education.
Patience, flexibility and love for children.
Strong communication and time management skills.
Provide basic care and caregiving activities.
