Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team in Trumbull, Connecticut, United States. This role is integral to our finance department, focusing on the management of general ledger, financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, expense tracking, tax preparation, audit support, and software utilization. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities: • Efficiently process invoices and manage accounts payable and receivable • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports • Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies • Monitor and record business expenses and assist with budget preparation • Assist with the preparation of tax filings and documentation for compliance • Provide support during internal and external audits, including gathering necessary documentation and information • Effectively utilize accounting software and tools, including NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP • Perform additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed to support the finance department Requirements • Solid experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficiency in conducting Bank Reconciliations

• Familiarity with General Ledger maintenance and Journal Entries

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Proficiency in using accounting software like NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP

• Experience in managing Expense Account and Expense Reporting

• Proficiency in Tax Preparation

• Familiarity with online accounting platforms like Quickbooks Online

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• detail oriented certification such as CPA is preferred but not mandatory.
