Responsibilities

Position Summary:
The Operations Supervisor position is responsible for both Delivery and Warehouse operations. This position will supervise the day-to-day activities of the delivery department along with responsibilities over warehouse inventory, receiving, slotting, replenishment and order selecting.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
Supervises daily delivery operations, planning and scheduling manpower
Assigns drivers and vehicles to convey freight
Coordinates drivers according to customer requests in compliance with DOT regulations and company rules
Communicates with customers to determine driver needs and schedules and notifies drivers of assignments and enters assignment data in computer database
Ensures quality standards and productivity standards are achieved with safety being a priority.
Responsible for Warehouse productivity tracking, to meet customer schedules and maximize operational efficiency
Assists with various transportation/warehouse duties related to DOT regulations, OSHA, fleet operations, and scheduling
Coaches and leads the Warehouse team to increase productivity and provide high-quality customer service
Ensures completion and proper execution of work procedures
Accountable for all inventory functions
Other projects or duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
Associates degree and 3-4 years of related experience in warehouse, transportation, purchasing, inventory controls, customer service, sales or similar supply chain department including 1 year of people leadership experience; or High School Diploma and 5+ years of related experience including 2+ years of people leadership experience
Must be available to work any hours, days, or any shift
Strong communication (written and oral) and problem-solving skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Able to safely use various warehouse equipment, including a forklift
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test
Preferred Skills and Experience:
College Degree or equivalent
Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
