Robert Half VP/Director of Finance in Troy, Michigan

Description We are seeking a VP/Director of Finance in the construction and contracting industry, located in Troy, Michigan. As a crucial part of our team, this role focuses on managing relationships with investors and stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication about the company's financial status, strategies, and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive investor relations strategy that aligns with the company's business goals

• Ensure timely and accurate distribution of information regarding the company's performance, financial results, and strategic initiatives to shareholders, analysts, and other stakeholders

• Manage company participation in investor conferences, roadshows, and other events

• Organize and lead conference calls and investor meetings

• Evaluate and refine investor relations messaging to improve transparency and understanding of the company's value proposition

• Respond effectively to inquiries and concerns of investors

• Track analyst coverage and summarize market reports

• Collaborate closely with the executive team and board of directors to deliver clear and consistent communication about the company’s progress and prospects

• Utilize auditing, budget processes, capital management, cash flow analysis skills to ensure the financial health of the company. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance leadership role within the construction or contractor industry

• Proven expertise in Auditing, Budget Processes, Capital Management, and Cash Flow Analysis

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master's degree or CPA preferred

• Strong strategic planning and financial analysis skills, including forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling

• Proficient with financial software systems and tools; advanced Excel skills required

• Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on staff development and team building

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information and complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences

• Demonstrated ability to influence and drive change at all levels of the organization

• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment and adapt to daily changes in workflow

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven business decisions

• Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity, with a high level of discretion when handling confidential information.
