Role Summary

Magna New Mobility is seeking a UAT Test Engineer to join our Software Platform team. We are building the next generation orchestration platform with hand on applications for a variety of users within Magna. We’re focused using rich data to bring efficiency to material handling workflows through several software, robotics and hardware solutions. The UAT Test Engineer will lead the planning, coordinating, and management of the business testing (user acceptance testing) activities on a project. #LI-Hybrid

Key Responsibilities

  • Design detailed and comprehensive test plans, test artifacts and documenting of all phases of SQA process by analyzing System Design Document (SRD) and Business Requirement Document (BRD) for new functionality.

  • Prepare test documentation and maintain the standards to meet quality assurance, security, operations, compliance and control requirements.

  • Perform defect analysis (Root Cause Analysis) and escalate issues as required to ensure further actions and work with developers in all aspects of resolution and verification.

  • Participate in Agile Scrum teams as required to assists with the design, development and implementation of new features.

  • Participate in testing and release management activities in UAT and Production environments.

  • The Test Engineer will work collaboratively with the project team and business stakeholders on the project to ensure business testing is successful and meets the needs laid down for the project.

  • Work with cross functional stakeholders (Business Units, Engineering teams, IT etc.) to understand overall program scope and its testing implications.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • BTech or equivalent bachelor's degree or Equivalent Experience and preferably with MBA

  • At least 7 yrs. of experience in the software testing domain with 3 years of experience in planning and managing test plans across multiple projects

  • Experience in Agile/Sprint delivery testing methodology

  • Experience in IoT /Automotive industry

  • Proficient in detailed planning and management of business testing.

  • Experience in running meetings related to testing with stakeholders at different levels of seniority and departments.

  • Strong communication & Collaboration skills. Proficient in presentations to senior management.

  • Proactive on reaching out to Project Stakeholders during the whole journey starting from Planning to Closure and highlighting Accomplishments, Issues / Risks and Mitigation Plans etc.

  • Good Global exposure working with business teams across various Geo's.

  • This role is hybrid 3 days onsite per week in our Lowell, MA OR Troy, MI office
