Your Key Responsibilities

The software architect is responsible for the technical and procedural content that serves to control and coordinate software development. This is carried out, among other things, within the framework of software architecture creation, which serves as the basis for software development.

Supports the software project manager/product owner in the timely, efficient and compliant achievement of the development goals.

The software architect is responsible for coordinating, documenting, implementing and supporting the software architecture assigned to him as well as reporting on the maturity level of the software architecture.

Responsibility for the technical coordination of the entire software function development

Responsibility of the design decision-making process

Responsibility for compatibility of the software architecture with valid norms, standards and processes

Responsibility for the efficient and goal-oriented creation of a software architecture as well as the corresponding process, method and tool development

Responsibility to use the work processes, methods and tools defined at Schaeffler in one's own work

Your Qualifications

University degree in electrical, computer science, mechatronics, physics, mechanical engineering or comparable At least 3 years of professional experience in embedded software development At least 3 years of professional experience as a SW architect safety critical automotive mechatronic systems Software architecture tools (Enterprise Architect) Collaboration and workflow tools (IBM Rational Tools, PTC Integrity, PTC Windchill) Analysis tools regarding functional safety AUTOSAR architectures, real-time operating systems, multicore architectures Security architectures with fail operation Development processes and methods as well as quality standards, norms in the automotive industry (ASPICE, ISO 26262)
