Eaton Corporation Production Worker- 2nd Shift in Troy, Illinois

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Production Worker- 2nd Shift. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm. The rate for this position is $18.17 per hour plus a shift premium of $.50 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, and market and business considerations.

What you’ll do:

A production worker is expected to work in all departments of the manufacturing plant including Weld, Paint, Press, Packing, Shipping, Mill, and Layout Departments doing various manual labor jobs. Some departments are more physically demanding; however, the general laborer should be capable of handling the work in all departments daily.

  • Packaging and assembly work

  • Setup pieces according to the shop order

  • Stack and band parts

  • Clean and help set up the work area

  • Make barcodes and label products

  • Cutting material on a band saw

  • Material Handling

Position Criteria:

  • Occasionally bend, stoop, squat, and climb heights, but never crawl.

  • Frequently crouch, kneel, balance, reach above the shoulder level, and push and pull.

  • With or without accommodation, frequently carry 10-34 pounds, regularly carry 35-50 pounds, and occasionally carry 51 - 100 pounds using a team lift.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications

  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Troy, IL will be considered. (Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation).
