Lockheed Martin Manufacturing Engineering Manager - Troy, AL in Troy, Alabama

Description: Lockheed Martin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Associate Manager for a position in Troy, AL to provide technical leadership of the Production Engineering team in the LRSS AUR facilities and reports to Senior Technical Manager of Pike County Operations. Duties include:

Oversight of the design, development and implementation of factory production equipment, manufacturing processes, special tooling, sequence of operations, engineering floor support and production testing.

Provides Manufacturing Engineer supervision, employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, and assignment of engineering tasks.

Ensures all manufacturing operations are in compliance with company command media, engineering requirements and government regulations.

The Locale: Troy, Alabama is in the East Gulf Coastal Plains region of southeastern Alabama. Troy's climate is typical of areas along the Gulf of Mexico in that it has hot, humid summers and mild winters. Troy is a great place to live offering lots of things to do and has a small-town charm. Troy is also a college town and is home to Troy University. Where can you get to from Troy? Our facility in Troy is just under an hour south of Montgomery, Alabama. Troy is about 2.5 hours north of the Gulf of Mexico and Fort Walton Beach and Florida's Pan Handle. Troy is about three hours from Atlanta, GA.

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a technical discipline with 7 years of manufacturing experience in assembly, integration, and test operations.

Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance. Lockheed Martin will assist candidate with obtaining at least an Interim Secret Clearance prior to starting.

Must possess and demonstrate Full Spectrum Leadership competencies including (1) delivering results, (2) shaping the future, (3) build effective relationship, (4) energizing the team, and (5) model personal excellence, integrity, and accountability.

Experience successfully leading a technical team effort in a manufacturing factory environment.

Proficient with Microsoft Office applications with exceptional written and verbal communications and excellent interpersonal skills.

**Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (“ATF”) background check to obtain approval to be an “employee possessor” (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment.

Desired Skills:

Advanced education with manufacturing experience in ordnance assembly, integration, and test operations.

Experience working with multi-functional teams including members from Quality Assurance, ESH and Ordnance Safety, Facilities Engineering, Production Control & Transportation, Project Engineering and Management and U.S. Government Customer Representatives.

LM Lean Six Sigma Green / Black Belt certification.

Working knowledge of Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (LM-MFC) production data systems (MES-CAPP, Apriso, SAP), test equipment and tooling hardware and document control.

Experience with design, fabrication, installation, initial calibration, prove-out and maintenance of special tools and equipment, continuous yield improvement activities, root cause and corrective action analysis, cost reduction (affordability) and post-production depot operation activities.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
