Job Summary

As a key member of our small team, you will play a crucial role at GTC in method and technology development as well as the machining of demonstrators. Our team supports other organizations within GKN by addressing machining-related challenges, participating in various research projects, and collaborating with other companies and universities. While your primary focus will be on CAM engineering, your tasks will be tailored to your skills. You will work with cutting-edge hardware and software, contributing to the development of the latest PLM and CAD/CAM work environment and challenging existing standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Be an active team player. • Collaborate with other Senior Research Engineers in national and EU financed projects. • Understand customer requirements and be able to read and understand drawings and specifications connected to manufacturing. • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to review CAD models and technical drawings, providing feedback on manufacturability and process improvements in different projects. • Develop and implement CAM programs for CNC machines • Create innovative machining setups and a flexible low volume machining strategy. • Create and optimize tool paths, machining strategies, and tooling solutions to maximize efficiency. • Conduct simulations and analysis to validate CAM programs and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. • Train and mentor CAM engineers, providing technical guidance and support. • Stay updated on the latest advancements in CAM software and manufacturing technologies.

Job Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing and production processes. • Preferably, experience in NC programming, especially with NX. • High experience with Manufacturing and hands-on machine experience. • Openness to new ideas and continuous improvement. • High social skills, flexibility, and an independent work style due to the collaborative nature of the role. • Proficiency in both Swedish and English. • A positive mindset. • Be able to train others and share knowledge.
