We want to get on board in our Rolling Stock department in Madrid a Project Engineer (m/f/d) Software Development for Brake Control Systems

Your new role – challenging and future-oriented

• Our trains accelerate to top speeds of up to 360 km/h - As software developer for our brake control system, you ensure that the vehicles also come to a safe and efficient stop.

• You control and monitor pneumatic braking systems and integrate them into a rail vehicle. They accompany the commissioning of the braking functions step by step from simulation to vehicle commissioning

• Determination and documentation of the requirements for the drive control software

• Definition of the software architecture and documentation with the help of modeling tools

• Participation in the definition of the software design, how the software architecture is to be implemented in practice

• Participation in the agreement and documentation of the system interfaces of the software

• Design and description of the required software components based on the software requirements

• Programming of the control software with the help of a graphic development tool (continuous flowchart)

• Integration of the control unit software on the target platform and documentation of the functionality

• Planning of the entire software test (developer, component and function test)

• Monitoring the quality of all intermediate results of the software development process (verification)

• Determination of the suitability of the completed software (validation, EN 50657)

• Organize and describe the software configuration management

• Creation of the vehicle simulation as a test environment for the implementation of software tests

• Elaboration and documentation of development standards

• You support the integration of brake control functions regarding function, hardware and software in a rail vehicle.

• You continuously expand your system knowledge regarding brake control of rail vehicles and increasingly take over interface tasks to increase software quality.

Your qualifications – solid and appropriate

• You have a technical degree in electronic engineering, mechatronics or a comparable field.

• You have previous knowledge about the rolling stock business.

• You have experience in the area of structured software development in brake control system. Preferably railroad industry according to EN 50128/50657.

• You will quickly familiarize yourself with electronic engineering and know the basics of braking technology in rail traffic.

• You convince with your open manner and approach problems actively and independently.

• In our international environment you communicate confidently in English (at least C1-level or equivalent) Spanish will be valuable.

• You enjoy working with colleagues from different departments and locations.

• Readiness for traveling.
