Position Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Analyst to join our MIS team, dedicated to optimizing and advancing the University's ERP infrastructure, specifically with Ellucian Colleague. This role goes beyond conventional support and maintenance, focusing on strategic and innovative solutions that streamline University processes, enhance user experience, and future-proof our information systems. Key Responsibilities :

Advanced ERP and Systems Development

-Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of ERP extensions using advanced programming within Colleague Studio.

-Drive the development of robust, integrated applications that meet complex business requirements, utilizing cutting-edge technologies and best practices in system architecture.

Strategic Consultation and Stakeholder Engagement

-Serve as the primary liaison between MIS and senior University stakeholders to understand evolving institutional needs and translate them into functional deliverables.

-Provide strategic insights on process improvement and system enhancement, contributing to University-wide digital transformation initiatives.

Complex Problem Solving and Data Analysis

-Analyze, interpret, and address sophisticated ERP and related application issues, utilizing diagnostic tools and advanced troubleshooting techniques.

-Generate comprehensive reports containing critical insights and actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Project Management and Leadership

-Oversee full-cycle project management for software upgrades, releases, and patches, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal functionality.

-Mentor junior analysts and provide advisory support to University staff on technical matters, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Regulatory Compliance and Best Practices

-Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant federal and state regulations, ensuring that all systems and processes align with compliance standards.

-Lead initiatives to develop, document, and implement policies that enhance data integrity, security, and system reliability.

Professional Development and Representation

-Represent the University at professional conferences, seminars, and meetings, fostering partnerships and staying informed on emerging trends in MIS and higher education technology.

Required Qualifications :

Education: Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor's degree supplemented by a Master's degree in a field related to the position to be filled or equivalency as determined by the appointing authority.

Experience: Two years professional experience in a field that is directly related to the functions of the position to be filled or equivalency as determined by the appointing authority

-Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute required experience on a year-for-year basis (30 credit hours are considered one year of college).

-A Ph.D. of an Ed.D. degree may be substituted for two years of the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education: Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited institution preferred. Bachelor’s degree in a similar field is acceptable.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in systems analysis or ERP management, with proven success in implementing large-scale, complex projects in higher education or similar sectors.

Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in ERP systems, particularly Ellucian Colleague, SQL, and relevant programming languages. Experience with cloud-based ERP solutions is preferred.

Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, project management, and leadership skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and stakeholder engagement.
