County of Jones Detention Officer (Part-time) in Trenton, North Carolina
Jones County Sheriff's Office is recruiting for a Detention Officer to perform specializedlaw enforcement work in the care and security of inmates in the Detention Center.This position is under general supervision. Work involved; admitting and bookinginmates, ensuring security of inmates and the center, and preparing inmates for courtappearances. Issues clothing, personal hygiene supplies, and linens: observes inmates torecognize need for medical attention. Employee is subject to the usual hazards of jailmanagement work.
Reports to the Detention Captain.
**Education requirements are: High school diploma or equivalent, or any equivalentcombination of training and experience which provides knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Possession of a valid North Carolina driver's license.
