Responsibilities include:

  • As part of a team, carry out preventative and corrective maintenance (hardware and software), and operational support, as detailed in the quality and maintenance documents, to achieve required availability and reliability on training devices

  • Perform Elementary, Servicing and Maintenance duties in support of the C130J Maintenance Training Center

  • Perform maintenance on aircraft avionic systems, mechanical, structural and electrical systems

  • Monitor all training devices and ensures the resolution of system actual and potential problems

  • Confer with technical experts and colleagues to formulate solutions

  • Debug and troubleshoot problems spanning a wide range of technologies, including, but not limited to computer systems, hydraulic systems and avionics systems

  • Available to work shifts and/or overtime as required

    Mandatory qualifications include:

  • Post-secondary education and/or equivalent Avionics /Aviation related training

  • Aircraft experience with relative simulator experience or equivalent

  • Working knowledge of MS-Office tools and suite

  • Some knowledge with various types of test equipment

  • Basic troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to handle situations with tact and be a dynamic team player

  • Ability to interpret schematics and other technical documents pertaining to aircraft

  • Basic knowledge of aircraft systems, including, but not limited to, power plants, flight controls, dynamic systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, environmental, basic structures and power generation and distribution systems

  • Physically able to perform manual labour tasks and/or work in confined spaces

  • Be able to hold a Canadian Security Clearance & Controlled Good Clearance

  • Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen, a Permanent Resident or with a valid Work Permit
