ITW Maintenance Technician 3rd Shift in Traverse City, Michigan
Job Description:
The individual will work closely with the maintenance team and operators on a daily basis in order to perform troubleshooting for machinery repairs and preventative maintenance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems
Conduct preventative maintenance tasks
Machine/fabricate machine parts using drill press, lathe, mill, etc.
Perform machine repairs
Compensation Information:
Must have good interpersonal skills, be a team player and a self-starter who can work with little or no supervision. Good people interaction skills needed to work with operators, engineers, and other non-technical personnel
Position requires 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic/hydraulic troubleshooting and repair skills.
Measurement, layout, drilling reaming and threading as well as welding and cutting are required
Understanding of mechanical drive systems and bearing maintenance / replacement
Ability to work at heights using proper equipment
Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics and prints
Ability to use test & measurement equipment such as multimeters, calipers, micrometers
Experience with PLCs, VFDs and Electrical Control systems a plus
A team player who possesses an excellent attitude
Willing to pursue further education
Self-directed and able to work with little direct supervision
Use logical thinking and the ability to analyze cause and effect situations
Capacity to address several issues or problems simultaneously
