Amergis Staffing iscurrently seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RN) for Orthopedic (Ortho) assignments in Towson, MD !
Position Details:
Contract Length: 13 weeks (+ability toextend)
Number of Openings: 1
Start Date: 1/27 or 2/3
Hours/Shifts/Schedules: 48 (4x12's) /Nights / 7p-7:30a
*Willwork every OTHER weekend/holiday
Setting:
Med/Surg Tele - Ortho unit
Will float to other Med/Surg Tele units as needed
Position Requirements:
Minimum 1-2 years of RN Med/Surg/Tele/Ortho experience
Experience with the general surgery population
MD RN or Compact RN license
BLS and ACLS (AHA)

TheOrthopedic Registered Nurse focuses on caring for patients with musculoskeletaldiseases and disorders. These orthopedic issues include conditions likearthritis, bone fractures, broken bones, joint replacements, geneticmalformations, arthritis, and osteoporosis. The Orthopedic RegisteredNurse is knowledgeable with traction, casting, mobility devices, and painmanagement. The Orthopedic Registered Nurse will assist physicians withpreparation for procedures, surgery and assist patients with theirpostoperative recovery.
Minimum Requirements:
One (1) year of nursing experience preferred in an orthopedic unit
Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices
Orthopedic Nurse Certification (ONC) preferred
Current CPR if applicable
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
