Summary

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the position is responsible for unloading received shipment, inspects materials, and distributes materials between the warehouse and end users

Essential Functions

-

Physically or by hand truck or forklift, unloads all received goods.

-

Verify accuracy of packing slips to actual receipts and reports discrepancies using the current QA procedures.

-

Inspects all received goods according to COCs or standard receiving QA procedures.

-

Reports all non-conforming goods to the Quality and Materials Manager through the use of DMRs and aid in their proper resolution.

-

Properly label all received materials and place in proper warehouse bin locations.

-

Physically or by hand truck or forklift, delivers packages and materials to appropriate individuals or departments and return materials to inventory bin locations when necessary.

Cycle count raw and finish inventories according to established procedures and upon special request.

-

Load, operate and unload fabric inspection/winder machine and inspect fabric or rewind rolls.

-

Load, operate and unload slitting machine to slit fabrics as needed for binding or other uses.

-

Cooperate with other departments as necessary to increase the usefulness of our Epicor Vantage software.

  • Make local deliveries, when required.

Ensure health and safety compliance, current forklift certification, etc.

Responsibilities

-

Ensures own production conforms to requirements of quality and schedule.

-

Inspects input/output quality requirements on all units processed.

-

Follows approved procedures to complete all tasks.

-

Maintains work area in a clean, repaired and organized manner.

-

Handles and stores all regulated materials in compliance with company policy, state and federal regulations.

-

Ability to work overtime as business needs dictate.

  • Drive small box truck when needed.

-

Assist in other departments when needed.

Education and Qualifications

-

High School Diploma or equivalent.

-

3 - 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment.

-

Proficient with manufacturing equipment, hand trucks and powered industrial trucks.

  • Valid Drivers License required
