About You
We’re seeking a result-focused, innovative, self-driven, and well-qualified individual to join our talented team as our R&D Laboratory Technician. Based out of our Torrington Connecticut location, develop new products that will contribute to the aggressive growth of the company by preparing light-curable formulations and performing physical property and analytical tests under the guidance of chemists. The incumbent is expected to work under the guidance and tutelage of the R&D Chemists and Project Leaders. .
In addition, you will:
Work together with chemists in new product development projects to meet customer needs and timetables by preparing formulations, performing physical property tests, and monitor stability of formulations
Validate the performance of the formulated products by performing physical property tests
Perform analytical tests by operating testing instrumentation (i.e. FTIR Spectrophotometers, Thermal Analysis Instruments, Instron Extensometers)
Keep records of formulation trials and test results by maintaining laboratory notebooks
Enable projects to be completed within the determined timeframes by monitoring chemical and other laboratory supplies and replenishing them as needed
Maintain full compliance with Dymax and industry safety standards, and to report in a timely manner any occurrence that may diminish the safety integrity of the company
Requirements
You should have:
High School Degree, or higher
Excellent knowledge and experience working with MS Excel and PowerPoint
2+ years of position-related experience
Detail orientation, strong time-management, observation and analytical skills, ability to use technology.
Experience in UV-curing adhesives/coatings.

Salary Range: $27-$37 per hour
Our company takes the compensation of its employees very seriously and considers several factors when determining the total compensation package including but not limited to location, market range, skills, knowledge, experience, and abilities. The base salary range represents the low and high end of our company's salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range. The range listed is just one component of our company's total compensation packages for employees.
