PAC Group LLC Project Superintendent in Torrington, Connecticut

We are seeking a skilled Project Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from beginning to end. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, supervision, and project execution. The Project Superintendent is responsible for the field coordination of the project. This is achieved by managing the project logistics, quality, timeliness, and safety by executing the following essential duties and responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the development of and implement a Site Logistics Plan, (SLP). The SLP should include site office set up, lay down/storage areas, emergency rally points, etc.

  2. Lead the development of an Emergency Action Plan, (EAP).

  3. Plan and enforce safety requirements in all construction activities.

  4. Review the project schedule with the project team and assist in adjustments/modifications.

  5. Review, organize, and distribute all project documents.

  6. Maintain current and accurate As Built documents.

  7. Provide site orientation to all personnel working on site.

  8. Schedule and organize all subcontractors, vendors, material deliveries, preconstruction meetings, mockup installations, field inspections, safety inspections, etc.

  9. Maintain daily records as required.

  10. Review all approved shop drawings for completeness, conformity to contract documents, and constructability.

  11. Initiating regular Subcontractor Project Meetings, maintaining accurate meeting minutes, and resolving any concerns/problems that are identified.

  12. Inspect work on site for compliance with terms and specifications of contract, safety, and general cleanliness; Review owners punch lists and coordinate the completion of identified tasks.

  13. Support the Project Manager.

Qualification Requirements:

  1. Three or more years related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  2. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, construction drawings, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; and speak effectively before groups of clients or employees of an organization.

  3. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, and accounting.

  4. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists.

  5. Ability to use and navigate Windows Operating System, use mobile operating systems and applications in either IOS or Android (cell phone or iPad), print and scan from mobile devices and computers, Microsoft Office 365, and Procore.
