DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will provide psychological insights about patients to both professional and non-professional staff to help develop appropriate treatment and discharge plans. You will deliver psychological profiles to the treatment team by conducting evaluations as needed, ensuring that decisions and goals are based on objective data. You will keep psychological assessments up to date by performing routine screenings, which will aid in crafting each patient's treatment plan. Additionally, you will apply psychological principles in direct care and rehabilitation through scheduled individual and group sessions, intervention in crisis situations, and unscheduled counseling to support patient development. You will also lead individual and group therapy sessions for patients referred by the treatment team, focusing on enhancing their psychological and emotional well-being.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Thursday - Monday, with a 30-minute lunch. Tuesday and Wednesday are regular days off. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A master's degree in a behavioral science, counseling education, rehabilitation, human development or a closely related field. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
