DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a member of our plumbing shop, a Maintenance Repairman 2 performs a wide variety of duties relating to the operation and maintenance of the facility. Safety is a high priority for our patients as well as for the employees of Torrance. This position may not only have the opportunity to work in the plumbing shop but trades such as carpentry, painting, and electric as well. You will be responsible for preventive maintenance assignments by making a visual inspection of lubricating, minor adjustments, replacement of parts, and cleaning such as pumps, controls, air compressors, lavatories, commodes, traps, and temperature regulators. Work may also include maintaining or repairing structures, equipment, or furniture, servicing electrical circuitry and components, as well as preparing surfaces for proper reception of correct preservative, protective, or decorative coating.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Overtime as required and subject to emergency call in. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1; or Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities. You must be able to perform essential job functions. Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
