The Mechanic/Multi-Craft role works independently and with others to perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks. They troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities May Include:
Performing maintenance and repair on pipeline pump stations and terminal equipment, which includes natural gas fired engines, diesel-fired engines, motors, centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, compressors, meters, gravitometers, transmitters, valves, pressure control and limiting devices, and other equipment
Ensuring the safe, effective and efficient performance of maintenance and operation activities in accordance with Company standards and regulatory guidelines
Complying with company policies, procedures and directives
Performing minor electrical work
Performing work on air pollution control equipment
Performing required preventive and corrective maintenance on various types of equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations
Identifying maintenance work and initiating work requests
Driving a company owned vehicle within assigned area
Training less experienced employees and overseeing the work of contract personnel
Writing procedures, instructions, training materials and safety and operating permits
Working on a Pipeline on an as needed basis
Ability to diagnose mechanical problems
Required Qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
Must be 18 years of age or older
High School Diploma/GED equivalent
Must maintain a valid driver's license
1 or more years maintenance/mechanical experience in oil and gas or related industry
Maintain all required operations and safety training including required Operator Qualifications for DOT covered tasks
Willing and able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC). Information can be found at https://www.tsa.gov/for-industry/twic
Willing and able perform/comply, with or without a reasonable accommodation, with the following:
Climb various ladders and stairs ranging 5 to 40 feet in height to operate valves, gauge tanks, or perform maintenance on equipment are a part of this position
Raise and transport articles weighing up to 60 pounds
Walk, stand, stoop, sit, climb, and carry material on a daily basis on even and uneven terrain
Work scheduled or unscheduled overtime on an as-needed basis
Be on-call 24 hours a day
Travel at least 10 to 15 percent of the time
Work outside in harsh weather conditions
Work alone a high percentage of the time
Wear fire-retardant clothing and other personal protective equipment, such as steel-toe shoes and ear and eye protection
Maintain your face daily so that a respirator/face mask can seal properly (some examples include being free of facial hair and/or clean shaven)
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree in technical field
Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, and SAP
1 or more years direct experience in vibration analysis
3 or more years direct experience with reading schematics, manuals and drawings
A sound knowledge of code requirements, including OSHA, Process Safety
*This is a union represented position. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
*Pay rate for the position is $44.45/hr, with increases generally occurring every 12 months. Pay is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Midstream
Phillips 66's Midstream business is a safe, reliable and trusted logistics provider for the movement and storage of liquid or gas energy via pipelines or terminals. We are an industry leader in logistics and operate or manage more than 22,000 miles of pipelines that transport crude oil from oil fields to refineries and finished products from refineries to storage terminals. We operate 39 terminals that supply finished products to consumer gas stations, as well as crude oil and NGL storage terminals and NGL fractionation facilities. We also provide the connectivity between the various Phillips 66 business units.
