Description We are offering an opportunity for an Applications Architect in the automotive industry, based in Torrance, California. This role is primarily virtual, with occasional travel, and involves designing and implementing comprehensive API and integration solutions for enterprise clients aligning with their strategic goals and technical requirements. You will play a key role in the migration of legacy systems to cloud-based solutions and manage the API lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Meeting with application teams to understand requirements and recommend high-level direction and approach to upcoming projects.

• Designing and implementing comprehensive API and integration solutions for enterprise clients.

• Developing and maintaining web services to support business operations and third-party integrations.

• Playing a key role in the migration of legacy systems to cloud-based solutions on Azure.

• Architecting microservices-based systems on AWS and Azure to enhance system flexibility and performance.

• Managing the API lifecycle using Apigee to provide centralized control over API traffic, security, and analytics.

• Implementing CI/CD pipelines to streamline the deployment process and reduce time-to-market.

• Implementing API security protocols including OAuth 2.0 and JWT to safeguard sensitive data.

• Designing and implementing a cloud-based MFT solution on AWS to enable secure and scalable file transfers for a global e-commerce platform.

• Establishing best practices for API and integration development including governance, versioning, documentation, and testing.

• Providing technical leadership in the transition to a microservices architecture.

• Enhancing application performance through efficient API design and optimization techniques.

• Improving data accuracy and reducing transaction processing time through optimized integration workflows.

• Integrating the MFT solution with existing ERP and CRM systems to streamline data exchange and improve operational efficiency. Requirements • Candidate must possess strong documentation skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy

• Proficiency in analytics is required, with a demonstrated ability to interpret and present data

• Prior experience in Human Resources (HR) Administration is advantageous

• Strong design skills, specifically within the automotive industry, are necessary

• Candidate should have experience in project management, with a proven ability to oversee and deliver projects on time and within budget

• Familiarity with 'About Time' software or similar time-tracking tools is preferred

• Experience in providing workstation support and troubleshooting technical issues is beneficial

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems is required

• Strong understanding of security protocols and measures in relation to software and data protection

• Experience in website development and management is advantageous

• Prior experience in the implementation of software or systems within a business environment is necessary

• Willingness to travel for work when required

• Understanding of industry best practices and ability to implement these effectively

• Experience in process optimization and efficiency improvement is beneficial

• Knowledge of cloud technologies, specifically Microsoft Azure, is required

• Experience in system integration is necessary

• Knowledge of CRM systems is beneficial

• Experience in dealing with suppliers within the automotive industry is advantageous

• Familiarity with relevant law regulations within the automotive industry is required

• Experience in system migration is beneficial

• Knowledge of REST API is preferred

• Experience in streamlining processes for efficiency and productivity improvement is beneficial

• Knowledge of R code is advantageous
