The Fixed Income Front Application Support Team operates with a global footprint, ensuring comprehensive support to multiple business line across the dealer in various regions and time zones. Their primary focus is on supporting Fixed Income eTrading Applications within TD Securities, a critical area within the Capital Markets space.

This team works in close collaboration with partners at the dealer, addressing and resolving issues related to risk management, profit and loss (PnL) discrepancies, and offering challenges. Their role is pivotal in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the trading environment.

Additionally, the team is responsible for managing and resolving issues stemming from trade execution, settlements, and audit. This includes troubleshooting and remediating issues to ensure smooth and efficient trading operation.

About This Role

This position interacts with all FI Income Etrading Users – using electronic trading and risk platforms like ION, Anvil, Bloomberg and customized Algo solutions – the focus of this role is to develop and implement lasting, robust technology solutions as well as support the existing application and surrounding framework.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Supporting & delivering solutions to the firm's Trading & Sales desks in North America, Europe, & Asia

  • The Analyst will join an experienced team responsible for managing applications that offer risk, trading, and trade capture functionalities to the Business.

  • The role will initially involve 2nd line application support responsibilities, engaging with a broad range of stakeholders across the Front & Middle Office, Product Control, Risk Management, Back Office, Application Development, and Infrastructure teams.

  • Training will be on the job, but given the nature of the role, the successful candidate is expected to have prior experience to electronic trading technologies and have Capital Markets domain Knowledge. They must have a 'hands-on' attitude and be proactive in enhancing their knowledge.

  • Systems and applications comprise vendor and in-house built tools

  • Develop ad-hoc reporting tools for all business groups

  • On-call, weekend, bank holiday, and shift work required

  • Remote working is not available as part of this position some flexibility to this would be at the discretion of the manager.

Qualifications

  • Expert Knowledge of Trade Execution solutions/implementations on ION and Bloomberg.

  • Experience supporting trading exchanges

  • Fixed Income functional knowledge, particularly treasuries and bond trading expertise

  • Experience supporting front-to-back Trading Systems and Trading Desks

  • Should be comfortable assessing trading systems/components to investigate trade breaks, connectivity, data,

  • and performance issues

  • Understanding of financial markets and products, in particular Fixed Income markets.

  • Understanding of electronic trading, markets, connectivity, market making, and algorithmic/automatic trading.

  • Front Office facing support

  • Must have experience working with developers, business analysts, and infrastructure support teams.

  • Working experience with the following technologies: Linux RH, Windows Server, Oracle, SQL, Python

Skills Category

  • Experience with Solace, Mongo DB, ITRS, Autosys

  • Knowledge of cloud technologies, including Azure

  • Scripting, SQL and/or experience in programming languages such as Python

  • Knowledge of IT project & development lifecycles (SDLC), agile methodology, and ITIL

  • Computer science or Mathematics degree desired
