What you’ll be doing
You are passionate about information security and security infrastructure and want to join our growing information security group. As a Senior Information Security Consultant you will be responsible for consulting on potential risks, identifying solutions to these risks as well as implementing remediation's in both technology and process. Utilizing your relationship building skills, you will partner with line of business and technology teams and help them proactively identify potential areas for oversight and present recommendations that are practical and achievable. The primary focus of this role will be building, maintaining and owning CIBC's secrets management solution. This will involve standing up the vault, working with your peers to configure & promote changes to production and looking to dynamically create, revoke, and rotate secrets programmatically.

How you’ll succeed
Consulting - Review and interpret requirements documentation, architecture diagrams and solution designs to help determine the feasibility of a project and its impact to CIBC’s secrets management solution. Assess business needs against potential risks and provide your recommendations to enhance our information security landscape.
Delivery and Execution – You will help us build, configure and deploy HashiCorp Vault, with an emphasis on dynamic secrets. Planning, coordinating and implementing infrastructure upgrades and properly forecasting growth will also be an important requirement of this position.
Communication - Build and present documentation to executive management aimed at communicating technical challenges, architecture designs, potential risks and providing solutions via articulated recommendations. Provide feedback to and participate in the design and implementation of security infrastructure across the organization. Research, design, and implement security infrastructure related processes and operationalize these processes across the group.
Who you are
You can demonstrate experience in Identity & Access Management, Privileged Access Management and troubleshooting complex HashiCorp Vault issues and communicating a path to resolution. It's an asset if you have exposure to Agile Development processes or a CISSP certification
You have strong knowledge of a broad set of technology solutions with focus on Windows, Unix, Linux, BIG IP, and Azure. Having a history as a developer with experience in various coding languages such as Golang, Python, C# and JavaScript will be beneficial to the role. Being able to work with secrets management (vault is preferred), understanding how to integrate technologies leveraging REST API and automating manual workflows, will be reflective in a skilled candidate.
