What you'll be doing
As Sr. Analyst, Business Effectiveness, Governance & Controls, you will join Administration’s Transformation and Operational Excellence team to perform governance activities supporting Administration wide activities (acting as a 1B function against key processes).

How you’ll succeed
Governance & Risk Management - Ensure CIBC procedures and policies are being followed to eliminate risk exposure and potential financial loss to the organization. Support the Sr. Consultant and Director with their work with department heads and their respective management teams to ensure that effective business controls are in place to meet all of CIBC operating requirements relating to, but not limited to CIBC Control Framework, Information Security, Corporate Mandatory Training and Testing (CMTT). Provide support to the common governance risk and control programs and the timely delivery of key reports. Assist and implement key practices and processes in support of business functions while proactively identifying, assessing, monitoring and mitigating operational risks. In coordination with Risks testing team, manage processes to conduct control assessments (design and operational effectiveness testing) and attestations across the group
Record Management & Reporting – Provide support to ensure that an effective and documented internal control structure is in place as evidenced by policies and procedures specific to the individual activity. Support in-depth analysis to determine root cause of issues/concerns and assist in identifying resolutions through the review of key controls reporting. Conduct testing and review of the FPC, OPC and RCM results to ensure CIBC’s control methodologies are adhered to. Document, maintain and understand the various processes as they relate to assigned tasks. Participate in bank-wide initiatives or committees to represent Administration eg. Business Continuity Management (BCM).
Relationship Management - Establish relationships with other stakeholders of the CIBC Control framework across the organization to facilitate communication and teamwork (e.g. GORM, Compliance, Testers, Process Owners, Accountable Officers, internal and external auditors). Provide support on operational/product processes to meet the needs of the business by providing high-level analysis/recommendations to support initiatives in new and existing processes.
Who you are
You can demonstrate experience in analytical, data reporting, problem solving and communication skills with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while successfully managing multiple deadlines and project deliverables.
You have in depth knowledge in Microsoft Applications (e.g., advanced Excel, PowerBI) as well as familiarity with applications such as eGRC and Archer
