This role is a hybrid work arrangement. Work schedule to be discussed with the hiring Manager according to the guidelines defined by the department.
Your role
Manage the creation and upkeep of various learning initiatives, including e-learning modules, video, audio and other technology-driven educational solutions for internal stakeholders. Offer timely and efficient technical support to the Learning and Development team, addressing issues related to eLearning courses, eLearning platforms, and other educational technologies.
This role can be based in Toronto, Ottawa or Montreal.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Course/Resources Development:
Use AI technologies to streamline the process of creating, designing, and delivering course material while adhering to departmental learning practices.
Use various tools to manipulate (edit, format, etc) digital course material including, text, images, audio, video, and animations used to enhance learning experiences.
Use various authoring tools to build and integrate interactive elements.
Ensure the end product is visually appealing, user-friendly, and accessible for diverse learners.
Learning Management System (LMS) Administration:
Upload, maintain, and manage e-learning courses and content within the organization’s LMS, Workday Learning.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to e-learning platforms.
Training and Support:
Provide technical support and guidance to the Learning & Development team.
Familiarize staff with new e-learning tools and systems.
Support development of in-house training materials as needed.
Assist with the integration of e-learning initiatives into broader employee development strategies.
Stay Current with Industry Trends:
Research and apply best practices in e-learning design, development, and technology.
Keep up with emerging trends in digital learning, gamification, mobile learning, and other innovative approaches.
Recommend and implement improvements based on new technology or learning methodologies.
Qualifications:
Diploma of studies relevant to the field minimum diploma of college studies, in computer science, multimedia integration or equivalent education.
Fluent in both English and French languages (spoken and written).
3-5+ years of work experience in a relevant field, such as e-learning development, graphic and multimedia design & editing and creation of learning resources.
Proven Experiences AI projects and experiences.
Proven experience in managing multiple projects and work priorities simultaneously.
Proven experience in e-learning design, development, and delivery.
Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools.
Familiar with general learning concepts and methodologies.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.
Attention to detail, creativity, and a passion for enhancing learning through technology.
Ability to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of digital learning material to make data-driven recommendations.
Preferred Skills (assets) :
Experience in:
LMS (Workday or other similar systems).
Google sites.
Articulate 360 and/or other authoring tools.
Adobe products (Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign, Audition, Premiere Pro etc..).
Camtasia and/or other video editing software.
Familiarity with SCORM, xAPI, and other e-learning standards.
Experience with responsive learning.
Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and creating content for diverse learner populations.
