Job Description:
We have a position available in the Toronto office for a Senior Manager - Marketing Analytics in our Business Insights Department. In this position, the candidate will act as a key advisor to CMO and the Marketing Leadership team to develop growth strategies and critical analysis on business initiatives. The successful candidate will be a leader on the core analytics with the BI team, shape & coach key vendors and influence global teams.
Our Business Insights team is dedicated to uncovering and articulating meaningful insights that inspire the strongest category planning and promotional programs in partnership with our Marketing Teams. We are on a journey to become one of the strongest, most dynamic business insights teams in Canada as well as in the McDonald’s system.
In this role, you will:
Provide analytics and support for marketing team in setting strategy and developing tactics
Provide guidance around business performance and outlook through frequent senior leadership engagement
Oversee and evolve projection of business trajectory and key contributing factors
Champion setting of corporate targets their calibration and reporting against them
Lead the development and adoption of new datasets and relevant tools / reporting to maximize business acumen
Lead the Marketing Analytics team in supporting marketing categories, promotions and calendar planning.
Elevating vendors & team to lead data democratization, automation & improved wow to create a more efficient system on data analytics
Identifies and solves complex business problems to drive future growth of brand and business/categories.
Lead business casing, measurement and post-analysis of marketing initiatives and strategies, providing insights and guidance
Contributes to setting short-term strategy for team and execute long-term strategy for function
Provide leadership to team members to ensure career and meaningful personalized development.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
Work experience: Six to eight years experience required, with 3 years minimum of people management
Education: An undergraduate degree with a business focus; MBA, recognized accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA) or related Masters’ degree would be an asset
Skills:
Experience managing a team
Proven ability to lead and influence others
Advanced skills in financial analysis, data analysis and reporting
Technical Analytics and familiarity with data cleansing [i.e. SQL, C360, etc]
Experience in category management and marketing strategy
Experienced and capable in working in fast paced, agile, and sometimes high-pressure environment
Strong communication and presentation delivery skills and drive for success. Ability to deliver complex messages in an understandable and accessible way.
Strong customer focus, with experience in consumer research and/or history of partnering with Consumer Insights departments to infuse consumer perspective.
MS Office proficiency (specifically Excel, PowerPoint) is essential. Knowledge of SQL, Tableau, PowerBI an asset
