What you'll be doing

As a member of the CIBC Trust team, you’ll provide in-depth specialized advice/consultation to support our internal business partners on the administration and governance of RRSPs, RRIFs, TFSAs, FHSAs, RESPs, and RDSPs (Registered Plans), in addition to locked-in plans. You will research, analyze and document information on changes to regulations and legislation governing registered plan, such as tax and pension rules. Documentation of information will include through registered plan contracts (e.g. RSP application and Declaration of Trust), our SharePoint site, and various email communications and Power Point presentations to our internal business partners. You will provide input on business policies and strategies while acting as the lead representative for projects of medium complexity involving Bare Trustee Services.

You are confident in your ability to formulate and provide specialized opinions and recommendations of a technical nature.

  • Relationship Management - You know that building strong relationships with our internal business partners and external regulators (e.g. Canada Revenue Agency, Provincial Pension Regulators, Employment and Social Development Canada) is fundamental to your success. Helping our business partners make informed decisions and effective changes in how they do operate is important to you.

  • Communication - Superior interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral) sufficient to convey or present factual and conceptual information on issues which require detailed explanation and interpretation.

  • Organization - Oversee requests from various stakeholders and thoughtfully create and/or edit a wide variety of presentation and communication materials (e.g. key messages, communication plans, tactical deliverables, presentations etc.)
