As our Senior Behavioural Designer, you will work closely with the team and various business stakeholders to bring a deep understanding of what shapes our customers’ emotion and behaviour, applying these insights to real-world problems in the design of our evolving customer experiences in digital banking.

Is this role right for you?

  • Applies behavioural science expertise across several client journeys to optimize experiences, including the three-step process: understanding behaviour and context; ideating and designing behavioural strategies and solutions; and impact evaluation and experimentation

  • Designs and conducts research through both qualitative and quantitative methods, to understand psychological and behavioural factors that influence people’s financial habits, decisions and wellbeing, creating a pathway for innovation and change

  • Contributes to and champions a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge

  • Partners to solve complex design challenges through the lens of behavioural design in a range of contexts, including digital interactions, digital selling, digital services, and physical products

  • Partners with the Beta & Experimentation team to conducts experiments to test the impact of designs for desired behavioural outcomes

  • Analyzes & interprets data from experiments & surveys to communicate results to key stakeholders

  • Demonstrates thought leadership by staying up to date on the latest developments and literature on behavioural science and theories related to promoting positive change in financial-based behaviours, as well as in the technology and methodology of intervention design and evaluation

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

  • Masters degree or PhD in behavioural science, psychology, cognitive neuroscience, human factors or other related field preferred

  • 3-5 years previous experience applying behavioural insights to real-world problems

  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, R or Python is preferred

  • Demonstrates a positive and resilient personality; able to embrace feedback and have a desire for continuous iteration and improvement.

  • Has a history of solving problems, creating solutions and driving change within a team

  • Comfortable working in a self-guided manner with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage own time efficiently.
