Overview

The Media Planning Manager will be envolved with client conversations delivering the following :

Responsibilities

Communication

  • Actively listens and anticipates client needs to build business and make Starcom indispensable

  • Communicates client objectives with internal stakeholders to clearly outline plan for delivery

  • Proactively communicates performance goals, accomplishments, and improvements with staff

Impact

  • Ensures strong client relationships, quality of deliverables, and client satisfaction

  • Maintains an in-depth knowledge of client business both current and historical

  • Co-ordinates with partner agencies and global counterparts to maintain efficient work streams

  • Maintains overall control of workflow and assigned team responsibilities

  • Provides assistance, when necessary, to ensure timely completion of projects

  • Assists Directors with maintaining revenue tracking and forecasting

  • Behavior and deliverables consistently demonstrate leadership and innovation

Team

  • Works closely with both direct manager and entire planning team to develop and effectively sell through Spark and Publicis Media business solutions

  • Ensures staff are fully utilized and operating effectively/efficiently to meet client needs; can properly delegate while also taking on their own workload

  • Takes a leadership role in the training and development of new staff members

  • Works closely with their direct manager and across the rest of the planning team to continually assess group members' professional development

  • Effectively and professionally handles performance issues as they occur

  • Leads by example via work ethic, team building approach, attitude and overall collaboration

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred

  • 6+ years of progressive levels of responsibility in media planning, buying, and management

  • Demonstrated business acumen and a track record of success in the media services profession

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills

  • Strong negotiating skills

  • Solid interpersonal and teamwork abilities

  • Able to build and strengthen client relationships

  • Demonstrated leadership and supervision skills

  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

  • Strong analytical abilities

  • Strong command of media research and reporting resources

  • Full Funnel Media Experience highly preferred, working on all types of campaigns – Awareness, Consideration/Demand Gen, and conversion KPIs

  • Candidates with previous experience working in hospitality considered a plus
