Job Description:
The Corporate and Public Affairs (CAPA) department aims to inspire and connect our customers, communities and colleagues through communications, conversations and advocacy that enrich lives, deliver business outcomes and enhance our brand. Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced, professional events manager to support planning and execution in support of the office of the Chief Operating Officer (COO). The successful candidate will play a central role leading projects from end-to-end, and managing relationships with stakeholders internally and externally to deliver exceptional experiences for all audiences.
The successful candidate will:
Lead the planning and execution of events and initiatives for the office of the COO, managing all event logistics and details for meetings and events, market visits, client and stakeholder meetings, and other initiatives as assigned.
Work closely with leaders, business partners, colleagues, vendors and other stakeholders to execute engaging events that are well-integrated into communications strategies supporting the goals of the Bank, taking ownership and paying attention to all details with creativity and care.
Provide strategic advice to senior leaders, business partners and third parties to help shape and elevate meetings, events, appearances and initiatives, and deliver meaningful experiences.
Assist in the management of budgets, vendor relationships and project timelines to ensure projects are delivered on time, resources are used effectively, and logistics meet the Bank's requirements.
Desired qualifications and skills:
7+ years of experience in event management or consulting environment, or comparable communications or event experience.
Proven experience working effectively and efficiently with senior executives, partners, agencies, and vendors to deliver compelling and high-quality outcomes.
Excellent judgment and proven event experience demonstrating flawless execution, strong judgement and exceptional time and project management.
Experience with technology platforms and virtual event management tools and capabilities.
Proven ability to navigate in a complex or ambiguous environment while managing multiple high-priority projects or deliverables.
Organizational awareness, resourcefulness and demonstrated relationship building skills – understanding of whom to engage to identify solutions and resolve issues.
Familiarity with accessibility, legal and compliance requirements associated with various corporate events.
Undergraduate degree or PR/marketing/corporate communications/event management certification, designations, or equivalent required.
Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
