Job Description:

Department Overview:

The TD Credit Cards Finance team, within Canadian Personal Banking (CPB), is a high impact team that supports the development and achievement of financial and strategic objectives for the businesses we support. The team delivers value-added analysis and business insights to the senior management team on a diverse range of financial and business matters and leads the forecasting process and prepares insightful monthly management reporting.

Key areas of focus include:

  • Be the Strategic Finance lead for the Credit Cards business supporting the Loyalty strategy, Partnerships, Contracts and Initiatives, providing both financial modeling expertise and thought leadership.

  • Actively maintain and foster relationship with key stakeholders within the business to achieve both Business and Finance targets.

  • Maintain industry and internal business awareness; Recognize & anticipate trends; Identify issues & opportunities; Recommend actions that will support business short term and long-term goals.

  • Partner with the broader team and Business supporting monthly P&L reporting and forecasting while monitoring operational efficiencies and impacts from projects.

Job Description:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, the Manager role supports the development and achievement of Credit Card financial and strategic objectives. The role requires a strategic mindset with strong financial modelling expertise and experience operating in a management reporting environment, with focus on value-add reporting of results, forecast, business partner decision support, and strong relationship building skills.

The role has several accountabilities which include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Serve as the Finance lead supporting Loyalty Strategy, Partner Initiatives/ Contracts, and Operational efficiency opportunities

  • Be the Finance subject matter expert and provide critical decision-making support to the business on projects and initiatives, including business case financial modeling, thought leadership, and professional judgement, ensuring the appropriate financial and accounting considerations are represented.

  • Build and manage strong relationships within Finance and across our multiple stakeholders including the business and broader functional groups at TD to draw upon organizational resources to deliver results.

  • Support P&L management reporting and portfolio forecasting.

  • Promote and foster a positive working environment that encourages innovation, creativity, teamwork and strong strategic partnerships

  • Exhibit a high degree of professionalism and a passion for the business by keeping current on emerging industry trends/ developments.

Job Requirements:

  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen, organizational awareness, and business case modeling expertise.

  • Highly motivated / enthusiastic individual, who can ‘get things done’ in an organized and customer focused manner.

  • Ability to synthesize complex and vast amount of information and translate into actionable insights and strategy.

  • A team player with the ability to influence and motivate others.

  • Effectively communicate relevant / meaningful recommendations on a range of finance management issues or related operational processes to all levels within the organization.

  • Experience in management reporting and forecasting

  • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications

Additional Requirements

  • CA/CFA/Business degree, with 5+ years of relevant experience
