The opportunity:
Manulife is embarking on a multi-year journey to build a Global Performance Marketing Shared Service CoE (Center of Excellence) which will fuel our bold ambition to become a digital customer leader. The function brings together Marketing Technology (Martech) and Demand Generation (Demand Gen) – a comprehensive, full-funnel approach designed to drive tailored customer journeys powered by connected data, that when integrated raises brand awareness, drives quality traffic, generates leads, secures sales, and fosters brand loyalty.

We are looking for someone with:
7+ years of experience within a digital marketing environment, specifically in-platform buying experience across all digital media channels.
At least 5 years of management experience, proven experience mentoring and managing a team, preferably in a multi-cultural environment.
Agency and financial services experience preferred.
Hands-on experience with web analytics platforms (e.g., Google/Adobe Analytics) and media buying platforms (e.g., Google Marketing Platform, Facebook, LinkedIn), including tags and pixels.
Ability to work across a multitude of campaign types and regions, including experience working with offshore teams.
Experience managing partner relationships (tech/inventory/data).
Google and Meta certifications preferred.
Exposure to third-party measurements and ad verification vendors such as Moat, IAS, or DoubleVerify is a plus.
Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and reporting.
Possess strong and up-to-date knowledge of the digital media landscape, including tech, inventory & data players, and best practices.
Technical understanding of marketing technologies and marketing automation principles.
Strong experience setting up processes and best practices.
Business-level English, both written and spoken.
On the job you will:
This role is responsible for ad operations across our businesses in North America, under the guidance of the AVP, Global Head of Demand Generation & Marketing Measurement.
Lead the advertising operations team to deploy sophisticated ad campaigns, programs, tools, and platforms best suited for the business.
Provide guidance and support on best practices in-platform setups and regularly review platforms to ensure ongoing implementation and optimization.
Regularly analyze data, prepare recommendations, and perform periodic optimizations to ensure advertising campaign success.
Identify, establish, and implement best practices for campaign set-up, optimization, measurement, and reporting.
Develop and manage an end-to-end platform vision and multi-year roadmap in partnership with the business, integrating and standardizing existing marketing technology stacks.
Facilitate regular communication with leadership on platform vision and progress, and champion platform adoption to ensure all staff incorporate the martech stack into all marketing activities.
Manage and support integrations with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for conversion-based optimizations and support the implementation of new ad-tech solutions.
Serve as the main point of contact within the department for the rest of the business teams.
Develop and maintain relationships with third-party advertising and marketing technology vendors and service providers.
Support the team with ongoing training related to in-platform activity and keeping the team up to date on the latest trends and product changes.
Oversee vendor management and own relationships with third-party DSPs.
Troubleshoot ad-serving technical issues, delivery investigations, and third-party media issues.

Salary range is expected to be between
$103,050.00 CAD - $185,490.00 CAD
