Department Overview:

Global Trade Finance Operations International processing hub is located in Montreal with spoke locations in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Houston and Singapore. We are a team of over 95 experienced professionals who offer a full range of trade products and are dedicated to providing world class service to our customers located all over the globe.

* Job Requirements

• At least three years of hands-on experience in Global trade finance operations, Guarantees department

• Complete understanding of the related ICC rules (ISP 98, UCP 600, URDG 758)

• Complete understanding of Trade Finance business including operating environment, business processes and transaction lifecycle

  • Familiar with the AML procedures and requirements

  • Strong written and oral communication skills in both English and French

• Bachelor Degree in Finance, International Business or other related discipline an asset

• CDCS and/or CSDG accreditation an asset

• Proven skills in providing excellent customer service and managing client relationships

• Proven ability to execute in a fast paced environment

• Team work spirit

• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office an asset

Job Accountabilities

  • This is a hybrid role where the chosen individual will both work in administrative tasks and will also issue and advise new transactions and amendments as per the necessity of the team

  • Reviewing text of guarantees requested by clients and providing comments either directly to clients or relationship managers

  • Drafting, issuing, advising and amending different types of SBLC/Guarantees and processing any other requests or correspondence regarding SBLC/ Guarantees issued or advised

  • Releasing transactions as per volumes and requirements of the team

  • Delivering timely and efficient services as per Service Level Agreements (SLA)

  • Prioritize, manage and monitor day to day operations of the team and workflow and distribute daily requests among officers and ensure maximum efficiency

  • Participate in monthly reporting and reconciliation tasks

  • Ensure appropriate controls are in place to minimize risk

  • Provide technical advice to clients/partners

  • Ensure adherence to TD internal policies and regulatory guidelines

  • Demonstrate strong process management skills

  • Ensure consistency & accuracy of the process

  • Identify potential risks and operational gaps; recommend and document resolutions

  • Ensures due diligence is completed as part of all transactions, as per terms of the trade finance AML procedures

  • Execute on ad-hoc requests

  • Requires to be available during some Canadian Statutory Holidays on rotational basis in order to cover our multiple province holidays, US & UK business

  • This position requires minimum of 18 months commitment to the role

  • Hybrid role currently minimum 2 days per week in the office

Le centre de traitement d’Exploitation, Financement du commerce mondial est situé à Montréal et comporte des centres de services à Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Houston et Singapour. Exigences du poste

• Au moins trois ans d’expérience pratique au sein de l’équipe responsable des garanties du service Exploitation, Financement du commerce mondial

• Excellente compréhension des pratiques et des règles de la Chambre de commerce internationale (CCI) qui s’appliquent au secteur d’activité (UCP 600, ISP 98 et URDG 758)

• Connaissance approfondie de Financement du commerce mondial, y compris du contexte opérationnel, des processus d’affaires et du cycle de vie des opérations

  • Bonne connaissance des procédures et des exigences relatives à la LCBA, un atout.

  • Excellentes aptitudes en communication orale et écrite en anglais et en français

• Baccalauréat en finance, en affaires internationales ou dans un domaine connexe, un atout

• Titre de CDCS et/ou CSDG

• Aptitude éprouvée pour le service à la clientèle et la gestion des relations avec les clients

Responsabilités associées au poste

  • Ceci est un poste hybride ou la personne choisie devra exécuter des tâches administratives ainsi que des tâches reliées à des émissions des nouvelles transactions et des amendements

  • Passer en revue le texte des garanties bancaires demandées par les clients et donner ses commentaires directement aux clients ou aux directeurs des relations-clients

  • Faire l’ébauche de différents types de garanties, les émettre et les modifier; aviser les bénéficiaires d’une garantie; traiter toutes autres demandes ou correspondances relatives aux garanties émises ou notifiées

  • Relâcher les transactions selon les volumes du département

  • Offrir des services de façon rapide et efficace, conformément aux ententes de niveau de service

  • Établir les priorités, gérer et surveiller le flux de travail, et distribuer les demandes quotidiennes entre les agents afin de maximiser l’efficacité

  • Participer aux tâches mensuelles de production de rapports et de réconciliation de rapports

  • Vérifier que les contrôles appropriés sont en place pour minimiser le risque

  • Fournir des conseils techniques aux clients et aux partenaires

  • Veiller au respect des politiques et des directives réglementaires internes de la TD
