What You’ll Be Doing
The Wealth Solutions Group within Global Markets supports the distribution of Fixed Income, Money Market, Foreign Exchange, Structured Notes, Market-linked GICs and Alternative Solutions (including Canadian Depositary Receipts and Private Markets) to CIBC’s Wood Gundy Investment Advisors, Private Bankers, Retail Bank financial advisors and Third-party Investment Advisors.
The successful candidate will be primarily focused on supporting the distribution of Canadian Depositary Receipts (“CDRs”) through various advisor and self-directed investor distribution networks. The role operates in a fast-paced trading floor environment as part of a dynamic, hardworking, production-focused sales team.

How You’ll Succeed
Client Focus – Work closely with senior colleagues, developing product information for our clients in a timely manner with exemplary service. Prospect and develop clients through outbound and follow-up calls, value-add idea generation, and support client meetings/presentations. Travel may be required within Canada at times to ensure client coverage.
Relationship Building – Work closely with the Wealth Solutions Group and internal stakeholders to develop appropriate client positioning for products. On your own initiative, develop product knowledge through directed or self-directed study.
Attention to Detail - Work diligently in a fast-paced environment to ensure that the needs of our clients and the team are being handled correctly.
Who You Are
You have attained an Undergraduate or graduate degree in a relevant field (STEM or Finance). Please include a cover letter, resume and transcripts (if recent graduate). Completion of the Canadian Securities Course considered an asset.
You can demonstrate relevant work experience. Experience in related industries is our strong preference. Ability to very quickly acquire knowledge, to demonstrate competence, add value to transactions and client relationships. Understanding of ETF mechanics a plus.
You are technically savvy. Excellent knowledge of PC applications required (i.e., Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Knowledge of VBA, Python, and Bloomberg is preferred.
You have excellent communication skills. Excellent communication and written skills in English. French language skills considered a strong asset. Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills required in order to develop, manage and leverage relationships with clients, and internal and/or external business partners. Strong presentation skills, sufficient to clearly articulate conceptual information/ideas on issues involving extensive interpretation and opinion.
