The role As a ServiceNow Technical Consultant you provide product recommendations and configurations, technical expertise for integrations. You develop and code sound technical solutions, ensure proactive communication to clients and internal staff, and manage enhancement requirements for the ServiceNow platform. How will you make an impact? Designing, Configuring, and Deploying ServiceNow Modules: You are making sure they align with industry best practices and standards. Technical and Thought Leadership: You provide guidance in system integration and application development. Solution Design: You recommend and design solutions that leverage ServiceNow’s out-of-the-box functionality and best practices. Artifact Management: You contribute to internal artifacts and deliverables, ensuring they meet solution requirements. Documentation and Troubleshooting: You create technical specs, architecture diagrams, system documentation, and manuals. Plus, when things go awry, you troubleshoot production and test issues. Team Collaboration: You assist teams with technical and process activities. Security and Expertise: You maintain instance integrity and security following ServiceNow best practices. Functional Expertise: As the Subject Matter Expert (SME), you bring your knowledge to the table for all application suites within your product line. Project Scoping: You contribute to sizing and scoping product line projects. What we need to see from you Education and Experience: You can either hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an IT-related field, or have at least 5 years of relevant job experience. ServiceNow Experience: A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow is essential. Collaboration Skills: You should be comfortable working with stakeholders to define requirements and performance standards. Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are a must. ITIL Knowledge: Familiarity with ITIL methodologies (bonus points if you have an ITIL Foundation Certification). CMDB Expertise: Understand CMDB relationships, hierarchy, and have experience configuring CMDB Health dashboards. Also, handle CMDB remediation, including dealing with duplicate and stale CI items. Identification and Reconciliation: Know your way around the Identification and Reconciliation engine. Security and Integration Savvy: Understand platform security and best practices for integration. ServiceNow Common Service Data Model (CSDM): Basic knowledge is desirable. Tech Stack: Experience with JavaScript, Angular. Communication Skills: Concise and clear verbal and written communication skills. Team Player: You’ll work both independently and as part of a team, contributing effectively to assignments and components. Organizational Skills: Be organized with great attention to detail. Positive Attitude: Promote a positive work culture and maintain a “can-do” spirit. Growth Mindset: Willingness to learn and adapt. Flexibility: Comfortable with travel (up to 15%) and changing office environments.
