You independently operate and maintain at least one process, equipment or systems following autonomous maintenance (AM) standards and use your technical skills to improve line and/or system performance to meet business needs.

How you will contribute

You are a key ingredient in changing how the world snacks. With coaching, you will operate and maintain equipment to deliver on our safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and morale targets. You will use execute all standard work processes on your equipment using AM (autonomous maintenance) and PM (progressive maintenance) standards and ensure that safety processes are observed, and that quality assurance activities are performed. You will understand the losses in their area and equipment and report them.

What you need to know about this position:

  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems on electrical, instrumentation and automation equipment used in batch and continuous process machines as well as high speed packaging machines.

  • Ability to read and interpret Electrical circuit drawings/Blue prints and P&ID Ability to troubleshoot and configure VFD, Servo drives, sensors, smart actuators and process instrumentations.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and make PLC and HMI modifications using Rockwell Automation software (Rslinx, RsLogix 500, Rslogix 5000 studio 5000 Logix designer, FactoryTalkView , Rsview, RsNetworx).

  • Strong knowledge of industrial automation networks.

  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in the use of Microsoft office and SAP Strong knowledge of Electrical safety codes (CSA, ESA, OSHA) as well as health, safety and environmental standards and regulations.

  • Understanding of integrated Lean Six Sigma, TPM and other operational management strategies.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Education / Certifications & Job specific requirements:

  • 1-2 years work experience preferably in a food & beverage manufacturing company.

  • Grade 12 Education/ Diploma in Electrical or related field.

  • Mandatory license require to process provincial Electricians Ticket (442A or 309A).

  • Physical fitness level which will allow the lifting, climbing and handling functions required of the job.

Work schedule:

  • Ability to work flexible hours including a rotating 3 or 4 shift schedules
