Job Summary
As Data Warehouse Developer, you will be involved in the design, configuration, implementation, and proactive management of the organization’s databases, data vault/warehouse solutions, backup, archiving, systems and monitoring resources.
Job Description
We are looking for a Data Warehouse Developer . This position will be a full-time and remote contract opportunity . This project involves conversion of legacy data warehouse to a new architecture which includes Data Vault 2.0 and traditional Data Mart.
What You’ll Do
Connect to new data sources
Explore data, model in the data vault and data mart
Configure and/or code data vault and data mart structures
Code complex stored procedures which implement business rules and load Fact tables
Convert complex existing report stored procedures from the legacy warehouse to the new one
Validate results using T-SQL; document all the differences
Troubleshoot code at all levels
Work with the report developers as they adapt to using the new warehouse
Individual will be on a very small team (2-3 people) and needs to be a self-starter who can quickly get up to speed
What You'll Need
Required:
6+ years of T-SQL development. Very strong T-SQL skills needed
4+ years SSIS experience required
Strong database and data warehouse modeling experience
Experience with Microsoft database projects (dacpac)
Experience with DevOps
Experience with Microsoft Access as a front end for SQL Server
Preferred
Experience with advanced T-SQL such as dynamic code generation, recursion, Gaps & Islands desirable
SSAS experience desired
Exposure to Data Vault
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
