Position Overview

The Shockwave Reducer system is currently an investigational device in the US being studied as part of the COSIRA II trial. The lead for Therapy Development will build and lead a team who collaborates directly with clinical trial sites to identify barriers to study enrollment and develop outreach, education, and patient identification initiatives that drive appropriate enrollment. This role and team will be critical to the successful completion of this trial and, assuming successful trial and approval, will be instrumental in transitioning the therapy from clinical to commercial.

This will be accomplished by establishing mutually beneficial, long-term relationships with key physicians and their clinical staff. Collaboration with internal partners and a willingness to experiment and learn will be keys to success.

How you will make an impact:

  • Build a team of high performing Therapy Development Managers and work with them to execute scalable programs (education, patient identification, etc.) that drive appropriate clinical trial enrollment.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to develop and execute scalable programs, proceduralize site interactions to ensure strong support of clinical trial sites, research coordinators, and investigators.

  • Develop metrics and communicate results of initiatives / pilots to make data-backed decisions on our therapy development offering.

  • Develop relationships with HCPs through regular outreach and education (live and virtual) activities, referring HCP visits, product demonstration and conference participation.

  • Establish an understanding of referral dynamics and coach teams to create site-specific strategies to promote disease state awareness and appropriate patient enrollment.

  • Capture unmet needs and develop programs to address therapy awareness.

  • Pilot activities and bring best practices to other sites; make programs scalable and repeatable.

  • Become a disease state and clinical trial expert, to help HCP’s better understand patient selection, referral timeline, protocol requirements, treatment options, and supporting clinical data.

  • Proactively and critically examine ways to enhance overall clinical trial performance.

  • Transfer clinical trial knowledge and experience into meaningful input and feedback to cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of clinical, market development, therapy awareness, marketing, product management, brand strategy, sales, or medical education experience in Medtech industry.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.

  • Direct experience within interventional cardiology space.

  • Experience working on new novel therapies / devices and proven market development experience.

  • Prior experience building and leading a team of director reports preferred.

  • Track record of building successful partnerships with hospital systems and developing relationships with key opinion leaders.

  • Extensive knowledge of physician outreach education and prior demonstrated success.

  • Excels in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities.

  • Excellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills including developing relationships in all levels of the organization and indirectly influencing business objectives

  • Ability to travel up to 40% in the United States

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $137,000 to $235,750. For the California Bay Area - The anticipated base pay range for this position is $168,000 to $271,400.

This position will be posted until February 27, 2025 and can be reposted if needed.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. ·
