Linde Engineering North America, LLC Senior Civil/Structural Engineer in Tonawanda, New York
DUTIES: Plan, coordinate, and execute all engineering activities required for successful project execution. Provide detailed design calculations for foundations of equipment dedicated to producing cryogenic liquid and gases, piling of structures that can be made of several different materials, structural steel such as Pipe and Cable Racks, Special Equipment Support, Modules for Piping and Valves, and Equipment Skids, and drainage designs such as stormwater and oily-water. Review Geotechnical Reports to determine the most appropriate solution of Soil Preparation & Improvement such as upgrade replacement and chemical replacement, type of foundation such as mat and piled foundations, and drainage system such as evaluating surveys to determine site drainage concept, sheet flow, interconnected manholes/catch basins, french drains, and infiltration. Review detail design drawings, fabrication drawings, and other construction submittals for conformance to engineering specifications. Provide design recommendations to ensure all structures meet safety requirements.REQTS: Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field and eight (8) years of experience in the job offered or in a related position. Must have eight (8) years of experience with: Utilizing AutoPlant, ProStructures, AutoTURN, ProjectWise, Bentley Navigator, CSi SAP2000, Bentley STAAD Pro, AutoCAD, Tekla, and Hilti Profis; Performing design calculations for special anchorage systems for tall equipment (over 250 ft) incorporating large diameter anchor bolts (over 5 in) and high strength pre-tensioning nuts; Designing Watertight Concrete Containment Structures, ensuring compliance with structural and environmental requirements as per Local Codes and Company Standards; Creating dynamic equipment foundations for items such as motors, compressors, and turbines; Working on structure repair and rehabilitation analysis on various types of structure; and Aware of foreign operating conditions, such as structural profile, chemical adhesive, fabricating a skidded equipment, and standardizing small plants, to provide suitable solutions for different markets.Apply at https://linde.csod.com/ux/ats/careersite/23/home/requisition/17847?c=linde
