Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Setup and operate CNC machinery from blueprints.
· Edit programs on the machine, when needed.
· Check parts for accuracy according to blueprints.
· Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
· Identify product defects.
· Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
· Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Competencies
· Spatial Relations, Mechanical Aptitude, Teamwork, and Collaboration.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Knowledge of FANUC controls
· Knowledge of 4th axis operation a plus
· Able to use measuring equipment such as Calipers, Micrometers, Indicators, etc.
· Must be able to follow directions and perform work accurately and thoroughly
· Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem
· Ability to interpret, edit, and program efficiently, when required
· Machinist tools required
· High School Diploma or GED
· Lathe machining experience required
Physical Job Requirements
· Lift up to 40 pounds, additional with team lift
Work Environment
· Machine shop
· Use of hearing protection, eye protection and safety shoes required. Hearing and eye protection provided. Safety shoes and glasses covered through reimbursement program.
