Pay for this position: $20.55 / hr

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above range represents the organization's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Responsibilities

Basic Responsibilities: Working under the direction of the Director of Residential & Day Services and the Regional VP of WNY Operations and Advancement, has the responsibility for supervising the daily activities of the participants and site maintenance. To support and promote the mission, vision and values of Heritage Christian Services, Inc.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • To assume primary responsibility for site operation, including oversight of the budget.

  • Shall be primarily responsible for the training and development of supervisory and management skills for all managers and educational assistants working with them.

  • To supervise all program staff, support their professional development, and to evaluate them on a regular basis.

  • To assume responsibility for order and maintenance of the record keeping system.

  • To prepare agenda for and to chair meetings at least monthly.

  • To assure that fire, safety, and emergency procedures are carried out.

  • To be the primary contact with service coordinator, clinicians, staff members, families/guardians and residential programs concerning individual’s needs and program and to integrate needs into the day habilitation plan and ISP.

  • To train and monitor documentation of educational assistants and direct support professionals; ensuring that all required documentation of service plans is completed in a timely manner.

  • To assist in the screening of possible candidates for program placement as requested.

  • To administer medications in accordance with Agency Medication Policy.

  • To assist the individuals in the management of their personal funds as related to individual program plans.

  • To delegate responsibility of program equipment; including vehicle maintenance.

  • To ensure that all aspects of individual care and business conduct are performed in compliance with our mission statement, policies and procedures, and applicable governmental laws, rules and regulations. To educate employees about the agency Compliance Plan; and to report any detected non-compliance to the Compliance Officer.

  • To facilitate a philosophy within service delivery that supports: self direction, community participation and contribution, productivity, and full citizenship.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Required to have experience in a human service field and at least one-year experience in working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

  • Minimum of High School diploma or high school equivalency; college experience preferred

  • Must show evidence of supervisory and administrative skills.

  • A valid, New York state driver’s license that is in compliance with Agency motor vehicle record standards.

  • Strong communication skills

  • The physical ability to lift and transfer people who rely on wheelchairs for mobility

  • Ability to use a computer efficiently
