TriMas Corporation Supply Chain Manager in Tolleson, Arizona

Job Summary:

Responsible for leading the supply chain in a synchronized manner which results in on time delivery of quality product to meet customer demand. Ensure the material inventory is balanced in a manner which supports customer need and company financial goals. Manage outside processing suppliers and component sourcing in a timely manner as the purchasing point of contact for all issues. Manage all plant expense purchases such as MRO, supplies and building services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Track all outside process orders from shipment to the supplier until return and monitor progress of critical or longer lead time orders. Create internal process to report out to team daily.

Measure On-Time Delivery for assigned suppliers – address negative trends with applicable suppliers.

Conduct quarterly vendor risk assessment meetings with internal team and post findings.

Research additional sources, validate and approve with engineering and quality and develop a sourcing strategy that ensures a primary and secondary supplier for all outside process services.

Achieve cost savings/productivity and review open issues weekly.

Be the purchasing point of contact for all issues with Outside Processing suppliers.

Coordinate outside processing shipments and receipts with the Receiving Dept. daily. Notify team of job completion and pick-up availability.

Responsible for updating Outside Processing information daily on the War Room board.

Procure all needed supplies, tooling and services needed for daily plant operations.

Oversee the material procurement process and ensure that it is executed in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Oversee the product planning and scheduling process to ensure product is being manufactured in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Oversee supporting functions such as material allocation, material expediting, and shipping are done in a timely and accurate manner to support customer on time delivery.

Ensure material inventory levels are maintained and monitored to minimize excess and obsolete product.

Establish and report on metrics and key performance indicators that inform the health of the supply chain.

Ensure Purchasing, Planning and Supply Chain tasks are aligned to company goals and strategies.

Monitors and addresses the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements. Identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.

Complete training on an annual basis for identified continuing education opportunities.
