Job Summary
The Senior Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineer functions as a technical specialist supporting the Food & Beverage and related manufacturing industries. This role will incorporate design execution, oversight of deliverables as well as refining I&C offerings within the market.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Lead execution and take overall responsibility for I&C design on services and EPC projects.
Coordinate I&C engineering efforts and lead I&C team for large multi-discipline projects.
Interface with the client to understand needs and develop requirements.
Attend client, contractor, and vendor meetings, perform field investigations, review vendor packages, witness factory acceptance testing, and help resolve issues during construction.
Monitor and control project schedule and budgets
Develop I&C standards specific to the Food and Beverage Industry.
Support development of scope of services and engineering fee proposals.

Preferred Qualifications
4+ years’ experience in instrumentation, control, and automation design and EPC services
4+ years’ experience in Food and Beverage industry, including CIP system design
Previous experience with PLC and HMI programming, including field startup and commissioning
Previous experience in designing control panels
Previous experience or knowledge in design of 480-volt distribution and control wiring a plus
Experience in consulting or supporting business development
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 8 years related work experience. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
Certifications
Professional Engineering (PE) license or active pursuit of registration.
Work Environment and Schedule
This position would require working in a typical office environment. The position may entail prolonged periods of sitting and computer use, and the professional would ideally be able to maintain focus and attention to detail throughout the workday. The position may also be require physical tasks during site visits, including crouching, grasping, and standing/walking for extended periods of time.
